Action for Involvement (AFI) provides services or resources to stimulate debate and encourage people to become involved in their communities.  We have diverse experience with commercial, public and non-profit organisations to bring a wider perspective on corporate social responsibility, the public private partnership and public/private finance initiative.  We evolved out of an Event organised in 2005 for the Power Inquiry which is chaired by Baroness Helena Kennedy.

What we do

AFI aims to increase involvement to improve the quality of life for everyone in our communities. We are active on governance and sustainability in the cross over in the local and national service delivery in the Public/Private Sector:

How we operate

We organise events on topical issues to explore ways in which we can increase value for money from our service providers with the aim of increasing community involvement.  Our events are open to everyone.   After the event we prepare a report with the involvement of event participants which we then circulate to everyone as well as publishing it on our website and to the media.

Our events bring together prominent people in the City and wider community so it is an excellent opportunity to share your concerns with key decision-makers.

How to become an AFI Friend

Becoming a Friend of AFI couldn’t be simpler. Just download our Friends Registration Form, complete all parts of the form which we need for funding purposes and then return it to us by email. We will confirm your registration after our Management Committee approves it.
