About Us

Action for Involvement is a Sheffield-based think tank specialising in arranging debates on current issues by:

• Bringing together people in our communities with national and international speakers,
• Finding ways to get involved in community decisions,
• Improving value for money from public and other services,
• Increasing community involvement.

We focus on how public bodies encourage people to take control of:

• Value for money, accountability, governance, transparency and good practice,
• Public/Private Finance Initiatives,
• Enforcement, regulation, compliance & corporate social responsibility,
• Housing, Education, Health & Welfare.
• Environment, Transport and Technology.

We are keen to involve event participants in organising follow-up events or activities.

Event reports are circulated via mailing lists, website and media.

Our Management Committee includes a Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. We may also have up to four non-voting advisors at any time. Constitutionally we can raise money, deliver activities, network, keep a database and share the work.
