About Us
Action for Involvement is a Sheffield-based think tank specialising in arranging debates on current issues by:
- Bringing together people in our communities with national and international speakers,
- Finding ways to get involved in community decisions,
- Improving value for money from public and other services,
- Increasing community involvement.
We focus on how public bodies encourage people to take control of:
- Value for money, accountability, governance, transparency and good practice,
- Public/Private Finance Initiatives,
- Enforcement, regulation, compliance & corporate social responsibility,
- Housing, Education, Health & Welfare.
- Environment, Transport and Technology.
We are keen to involve event participants in organising follow-up events or activities.
Event reports are circulated via mailing lists, website and media.
Our Management Committee includes a Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. We may also have up to four non-voting advisors at any time. Constitutionally we can raise money, deliver activities, network, keep a database and share the work.
